Let Go

It's like poking yourself with a needle. You know it hurts, but you've done it for so long, you've gotten used to the pain and the rush it gives you. Eventually, you'll have to decide whether you can't live without the needle, or realize that you can get the same rush somewhere else without the pain...

Sometimes, the best response is none at all. Growing up means realizing when silence is the best solution to diffuse a situation.

Shopping Haul: Big Savings!

Hi everyone!!

I'm super excited about this post!! A couple weeks ago, I went on an impulse shopping escapade online at HauteLook and Bath and Body Works. I saw the sale and I just went for it! First time I've ever done that. Oh boy!

HauteLook - Urban Decay Sale
Total Spent: $16.00 (not including shipping + tax)

I got the All Nighter Spray on the left. I'm super excited to use it since I have problems with oily face. Then, I had a choice between two palettes; this one or another with more colors. I didn't really like the colors on the other palette so I chose this one. And it also has very summer-friendly colors! Of course, it came with the mini primer potion :)

Aren't the colors so beautiful?!

Bath and Body Works - Semi-Annual Sale
Total Spent: $18.50 (not including shipping + tax)

I seriously had to put a limit to how much I could spend. If not, I would have purchased every single scent they have available! I wanted to buy their hand soaps and decided to get (from left to right) Sweet Pea, Apple Blossoms, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Vanilla Sherbet, and Dancing Waters. I've only ever tried the last one from my aunt's house, so I'm excited to try the rest later! These were $2.50 each.

I also saw that some of the body products were on sale. So, I got Sheer Freesia in body lotion, and Country Apple in shower gel. I got these for $3.00 each.

I also went shopping today for some candles and a new coffee mug that I can use for work. These candles smell so calming :) I can't wait to burn them! They were on sale for 2 for $22. I also got $5 off my total purchase. Did I mention I used a gift card, so technically they were free?!

As for my mug, I call this my Princess mug :) I was planning on getting something fancy and colorful to match my personality (because I didn't want to bring a boring mug from home), but then I saw this. I've always loved them at Denny's, so I decided to just go with it and be fancy with a glass mug. I'm in love and it was only $2.99 and I got a discount of $0.60 off (20% off), haha!

Don't you just love shopping?!!!

San Diego Spotlight: Yellow Deli

Hi everyone!

This is part 3 of our adventure! After we conquered Los Angeles, we decided to head home and finish the day at our favorite restaurant: Yellow Deli!

This is only my second time eating at this restaurant. My first time here was at midnight, and I instantly fell in love. Absolute beauty inside and out. The food is so amazing, you'd practically melt in your seat.

My new favorite item to order: Strawberry Smoothie!

My two favorite peoples :)

Cheers to the person who introduced me to Yellow Deli!

Check out the exterior/interior of the restaurant, courtesy of Google Images.

I've been told the staircase is handmade.

So, if you ever come to visit San Diego, make sure to make your way to Yellow Deli!

Meeting Laura Kaye!

Hi everyone!

This is part 2 of our adventure! After we experienced downtown, we drove to Culver City to meet Laura Kaye!!! We arrived half an hour early so we decided to walk around and see if there's anything interesting we can find.

We found some beautiful murals as you can see below :)

"You have to make an angry face."

Quote on the ground.

Check out this short video of our little adventure.

After we had our fun at Pinches Tacos, we made our way back to the restaurant and finally met Laura Kaye! I sat next to her and we chatted, talked about Fifty Shades of Gray, talked about Matt Bomer and how he's all mine, etc. We had to leave an hour later, so we proceeded to get some pictures, some swags, and my first paperback of Laura's books: Hearts in Darkness.

As usual with these things, I'm the youngest...

Now, for a fun picture. I didn't think I was in the shot... Then I realized, maybe I am....

Overall, that was a fun dinner :) We had some Calamari appetizers. Yum!

Thank you, Laura for taking the time to meet us!

Los Angeles Spotlight: Downtown

JUNE 23, 2013

Hi everyone!

Today was a long, eventful day! This is part one of three adventures! First stop, Downtown Los Angeles.

On our way there, we saw interesting sights... Check out the pictures below!
#1: It's not LA without the occasional comedy on the road. I guess someone thought their foot needed some air.

#2: Beyond the smog of the city is a beautiful skyline.

#3: Beautiful graffiti

#4: My roommate thought the building was a beautiful piece of art. "Why is that one spot open and everything else is closed?"

The first place we visited was the Grand Central Market. I'm not sure what I expected. It seemed to me like a flea market, except more organized. It had a diverse variety of vendors like Chinese food, Mexican food, Salvadorian food, and even desserts!

Check out this short video of our experience.

After we left the market, we made our way to El Pollo Loco. On the way there, we saw some beautiful scenery.

#1: Doesn't that look cool? It's like an amusement park ride.

#2: One day, I will own one of those beautiful Cinderella dresses.

#3: Beautiful architecture.

#4: The Bradbury Building entrance with my beautiful roommate.

#5: Look at all those stairs. If I wasn't so hungry, I might have climbed them and see what's upstairs.

#6: We have to come back here next time and do a complete tour.

#7: Meet my good friend, Charlie Chaplin.

#8: I just had to get a picture somewhere.

#9: I thought it was cool. It was a huge sign/painting!

#10: Can I have my future house designed like that?

Tell me in the comments if you've been to any of the places we visited! Then, check out part 2 and 3 of our adventure!
