Pink Spotlight (14): Lots of Books, Little Bit of Beauty

Posted on 12:45 by Unknown

This week was like a roller coaster as far as my personal life goes. School and work are just vying for my attention like never before. Anyways, this week, I received awesome books and bought a little bit of beauty products.

For book, I first received Seduction by Fire by Melissa Cutler. I got it early before it was released, although I don't believe it was an ARC. I'm excited to read it! It's been released since I got it, so you can get your own copy if you'd like. Click the following links if you want to get your copy on Amazon: Kindle | Paperback
P.S. Let me know if you prefer me taking a picture with my haul or if you just want the hauls by itself.

Next, I received the debut novel Lowcountry Boil as a prize from a giveaway I won. I'm not a big fan of the cover, but I'm hoping that the book is much better inside :)

Would you believe my luck? I entered a giveaway from USA Today for a box of 5 books. Next thing I know, I received a Facebook message saying I've won! I was just too excited. There was a LONG list of books to choose from. I decided I'd get all historical romances :D I'm so excited to get started on the books!

For e-books, I received The Wild Ones by M. Leighton (won), Nothing But Trouble by Lisa Mondello (for blog tour review), The Vampire's Hope by Danica Winters (for blog tour review), and Across the Veil by Lisa Kessler (free on Amazon - click the picture on the sidebar for your copy)!

For beauty, I bought the following in the past couple weeks:

Essie - Bordeaux - I wanted a fall nail polish, and I thought the wine color would be nice. Also, Neal Caffrey and Mozzie from White Collar loves that wine, and Lisa Kessler's character in Night Thief was named Kane Bordeaux :)
In addition, I got an invisible color nail polish from Sally Hansen.

I wanted a new facial cleanser because the Aveeno cleanser I got was just not working for me anymore. I was going to get Cetaphil but it was expensive. Equate had a dupe for it so I got it instead.

Finally, I got a new moisturizer. Since the weather is getting cooler, my skin was starting to dry out. Clean and Clear was just not working for me anymore, and using the Cetaphil Cream would just make my face super oily throughout the day. So, I got the Aveeno Ultra Calming Moisturizer with SPF 15. I like the smell and the feel of it on my face :)

So, that's what I've got for the past couple weeks. What did YOU get?
