I blushed against my will.
"Talon, where are you? I need you!" I screamed in my mind.
"Ves'tacha," came a faint whisper from a dark corner of my mind. The smile I normally saved for Talon slowly spread across my face. he was going to come for me - I knew it with every fiber of my being.
Unfortunately, Kyros misread my smile.
"I'm very glad you're happy - this is your home now and it should bring you joy. I would definitely prefer to see your illuminating smile than see sadness behind those green eyes. You have a big night ahead of you. I wish it to begin well so that it may end well. Ultimately, it's up to you."
