Favorite Makeup Products

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
This post was originally supposed to be a guest post at someone's blog but the blogger never posted it nor reply to my email. I didn't want to be a bother so I thought, if she's not using it, I might as well use it for my own blog. I wrote it after all. So, without further ado, check out my favorite makeup products!

Foundation:
My favorite foundation right now is my Makeup Forever HD Foundation in the shade #140. I absolutely love it and it blends easily into my skin. I used to have the Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation, but after trying MF, I saw that MF is lighter and easier to work with, while Laura Mercier was thicker and heavy on the face.

Eye Palette:
My favorite eye palette at the moment is the one and only high-end palette I have, which is Stila “In the Light” Eye Shadow Palette. I just love the colors and they really do stay on all day, which I love. The darker shades are very pigmented, especially the glittery ones. Right now, my favorite combination is: Bare, Champagne, and Sandstone. If I’m feeling extra special, I throw in a little Luster in the mix.

Mascara:
I haven’t found my Holy Grail mascara. I do enjoy L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara but I don’t know if it’s my favorite yet. I’m just using a bunch of different drug store brands right now. Since they don’t rum out quickly, it takes a while for me to find the ones I really like.

Blush:
My favorite blush right now is the blush in my 27-piece E.L.F. mini makeup set. I just love how it shimmers and it’s not pink. My skin is not creamy, so from beauty gurus on YouTube, I found that coral shades are better for me. So, when I found this shade on the makeup set, I just fell in love with it. I also just recently won the set so I haven’t been using the blush for too long, only for a few days now.

Lip Gloss:
My favorite lip gloss at the moment is NYX Pinky Natural. I used to love the NYX Natural Lip Gloss, but when I found Pinky Natural, I just fell in love. The difference is that Natural is more nude or on the browner side of the spectrum. Pinky Natural, as you can tell from the title, is in a pink shade. I absolutely adore it!

Finishing Powder:
My favorite finishing powder is Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in the color beige. I don’t really know a lot about finishing powders, so I just chose this one. I used to have the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, but I just prefer Maybelline’s packaging at this point. I don’t really know the difference in the results at this point.

Brow Color:
I am very new at filling in my brows, let alone knowing the right color for me. So, for now, I’m using Maybelline Made for Mocha Eye Shadow.

Lip Balm:
I also have a little trouble finding my favorite lip balm. At the moment, I find that LypSyl Lip Balm works the best for me. It has a very minty, refreshing feeling to it. I noticed that it does moisturize my lips and from what I can see, my lips looked improved. I probably will repurchase this product.

Eyeliner:
I don’t have a favorite eyeliner yet. Right now, I’m enjoying Stila in the color Damsel because it came with the palette that I mentioned above. I haven’t really found the perfect eyeliner yet. Maybe I need to try high end eyeliners from now on. I do love the E.L.F. cream eyeliner and E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen. I apply it with an angled brush on my lash line.

Tell me in the comments which of the products above you have not tried (I'm guessing Lip Balm would be most popular). Would you want to try any of them if you haven't yet? What are YOUR favorite products?
