Beauty Talk: Daily Routine in 20 Steps

Posted on 08:00 by Unknown
A few people requested last year that I do more beauty posts. So, here is one. For my awesome stalkers followers, check out below what my daily routine looks like!

P.S. I thought of making a video but knowing me, this post won't go up until a couple weeks later so I decided to just do written post :)

1)When I wake up in the morning, I get up and grab my robe and underwear so I can take a shower.
2) In the shower, I wash my hair first - GASP! Contrary to what beauty gurus preach, I actually wash my hair EVERY DAY. I can't stand myself when my hair is unwashed. And I don't really want to spend extra on dry shampoo and figuring out how to use them. For my shampoo and conditioner, I currently use TreSemme Smooth and Silky. It changes when I run out but I stick with TreSemme products. They are great quality and affordable!
3) After I wash my hair, I move on to the rest of my body using a bar soap. I use Olay Quench beige bars. This bar was in one of my favorites video and I just adore the smell :) Sometimes I use body wash and a loofah if I feel like pampering myself. Yes, using those things are considered pampering in my book. Also, if I'm in the mood, I use a LUSH shower scrub. Currently, I use SUGAR SCRUB until I run out.
4) After my body is washed, I wash my face using St. Ives Gentle Exfoliating Scrub. I also use this scrub at night after removing my makeup. After that, I'm done with my shower!
5) When I get out of the shower, I deodorize and then moisturize my entire body with lotion or body butter. I've only started using body butter recently during the holidays. I got mine from Bed, Bath, and Beyond when I had a gift card from them. It was one of those impulse buys. As for what lotion I use, it varies on my mood that day. Right now, I use Cherry Blossom mini lotion from Bath and Body Works. I have 6 full-size lotions from them varying in scents so I can just choose whichever I want to use next. I usually just try to pick one and use it until I finish it.
I use the pink Vanilla Sugar :)
My current favorite scent :)
6) After all that, I brush my teeth. Then, I'm done in the bathroom.
7) When I go back to my room with my head wrapped in a towel, I moisturize my face using Ponds Dry Skin Cream and moisturize my lips with EOS lip balm. I currently use Summer Fruit (eek). I let the Ponds moisturizer settle a little on my skin before starting on my makeup routine.
8) For my makeup routine, I start with BH Cosmetics face primer. After I've applied that, shake my Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation (or a drugstore foundation depending on the day) and apply a very small amount on my left forefinger. I dot my face with it starting from my forehead, my left cheek, my right cheek, my chin, and lastly, my nose. To see this routine, simply watch my video here.
9) After I finish my foundation routine, I apply my NYX eye base to prime my eyes. Once that is done, I take my eyeshadow brush and use the E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color. I use the first color on the left all over my lid. After that, I use the last color on the right and apply it to the half of my lid. I wish I had a picture to show you but my camera won't pick up the difference in color.
10) After eyeshadow, I apply E.L.F. cream eyeliner in black using a flat eyeliner brush. Once that is done, I use Styli-Style Line and Seal 24 eyeliner automatic pencil to line my water line.
11) After eyeliner, I do my lashes. I curl my lashes and then apply mascara. Currently, I am using Rimmel Glam Day to Night Mascara. I only started using this a few days ago and I would say I like it.
12) After doing my eyes, the next step is optional. Depending on my mood, I would sometimes apply blush, sometimes I won't.
13) Second to the last step for my makeup routine is my lips. Currently, my lip routine starts with a NYX lip liner, then NYX lipstick Femme (the only one I own), and lastly, a NYX lip gloss in Mauve.
14) Lastly, I take my Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder to set my makeup.
15) After my makeup routine, I take off the towel on my head. Depending on my mood, sometimes I would comb my hair, and sometimes I would brush it using a paddle brush. After that, I spray it with TreSemme Heat Tamer Spray for my heat protectant.
16) After I protect my hair, I move on to getting dressed while the heat protectant settles in.
17) Once I'm dressed, I bend and flip my head over and blow dry my hair. I find this easier to do :)
18) When I'm satisfied with the level of dryness of my hair, I flip my head back and smooth out my hair using my paddle brush. I dry it more as I see fit.
19) After all that, I straighten myself, look around for my stuff and then the last step before I walk out my room: SMILE AT MYSELF IN THE MIRROR.

20) Now, I'm ready to go :)

So are you wondering how long these steps take every morning? I would guess 45 minutes :) Thanks for reading! If you'd like to do a post like this, leave me a comment below of the link to your post. Til next time!
