Guest Author: Shevi Arnold - Do You Believe in Real Magic? (+ Giveaway)

Posted on 09:00 by Unknown
Today, we have Shevi Arnold to talk about magic in many forms. One of them: the magic of books. Check it out below :)

Do you believe in real magic?

If you've ever read a fantasy novel--such as Alice in Wonderland, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, or Twilight--you know the story wasn't real. Cats that vanish, leaving behind only a smile? Flying monkeys? Young wizards and witches with wands casting magic spells? Hobbits and dragons? Sparkling vampires? How could any of that be real?

And yet...

And yet, there's a magic in these stories, a spell they cast over their readers.

If you've ever felt it, you know. That magic is real. It's a magic that can take you to strange and wonderfully enchanting worlds. It touches your heart. It makes you cry. It makes you laugh, and it makes you cheer. It makes you feel more deeply than you have ever felt before.

This is the magic of Toren the Teller's Tale. A story about one seventeen-year-old girl's discovery of her own magic...and about her struggle to accept the power she holds.

When Toren returns home, her little sister, Noa, is full of questions. Why does Toren wake only at night? What causes her almost constant pain? And, above all, why--after completing her apprenticeship--has she decided not to become a wizard?

To answer these questions, Toren weaves a tale about a journey that leads her to discover the greatest source of magic in her world--herself. It is a revelation that comes to her at a high cost. Through her darkest years she finds comfort in the stories she tells. Could they also be the key to her salvation?

Does she have the courage to accept the power of the storyteller?
Do you?

Toren the Teller’s Tale by Shevi Arnold is available for Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, and from the Apple iBookstore. For a limited time, you can also download book one, Toren the Apprentice’s Tale, from Smashwords at half price with coupon code JG57A.

There are THREE available ebooks that Shevi had graciously offered to give away. All you have to do is fill out the form AND leave a meaningful comment to be entered. This giveaway will end January 15, 2012. Good luck everyone! This giveaway is INTERNATIONAL!
